8D Methodology

The 8D process is a recognised problem solving methodology. The 8D report should not be thought of a simple form to be completed but as a summary of all the work undertaken to resolve the problem. Q8D guides the user through this structured problem resolution process with tips and explanations to support data input.

Reporting

A problem for suppliers is that customers require reports in different formats, often requiring separate databases. The data in the Q8D system will be manipulated to provide reports in a range of customer reporting formats.

Prioritisation

The system has the additional feature of prioritising each issue so that a defined priority list can be determined which can be used to direct resources at a problem and for escalation to senior management.

Training and Consultancy

Qualatis also offer a range of public and onsite training in association with iqms which includes the 8D course to further support the problem resolution process.
